For many small businesses, the WhatsApp number is the business. It is printed on the shop sign, saved in thousands of customers' phones, and answered by the owner between everything else. Until now, giving that number an AI assistant meant moving it off the WhatsApp Business app and giving up the phone in your pocket.

Gydr 3.2 removes that trade-off.

Your number stays where it is

You can now connect a number you already use in the WhatsApp Business app without giving it up. Customers keep reaching you on the same number. Your chatbot answers from Gydr, with your knowledge and your skills. The phone keeps working exactly as before.

The interesting part is what happens when a person picks up the phone. When someone on your team replies to a customer from the WhatsApp Business app, the chatbot steps aside for that conversation. A banner in the Console shows who is holding it. When your team is done, "Return to bot" hands the conversation back.

We think this is the right default for the owner who answers personally, for the shop with a part-time team, and for every business that wants AI to take the routine questions without taking the relationship.

In the same spirit, we stopped sending an automatic templated nudge on WhatsApp when a conversation goes quiet. A business should decide when its customers hear from it, not a timer.

Exactly the access each person needs

As teams grow, "admin or not" stops being a useful question. The person who edits product descriptions should not be able to change billing. The intern who reads conversations should not be able to delete a widget.

Owners can now build custom permission sets that grant exactly the pages and actions a teammate needs, beyond the four built-in roles. Assign a set to any Member or Viewer seat. Change it later and every holder's access updates at once.

New invitations now default to Viewer, a read-only seat that can browse analytics, conversations, widgets, skills, knowledge and integrations without changing anything. Pages a Viewer cannot use are hidden rather than greyed out, so the Console stays clear instead of becoming a wall of locked doors.

Settings → Team explains what each role and permission set can do, and you can export a review of every seat's access for your records or an audit.

Changes that take effect immediately

Access control is only as good as its timing. If you remove someone's access, it should be gone now, not when their session happens to expire. Changing a teammate's role or permission set, removing them, or suspending an account now takes effect on their very next request. Nobody is asked to sign in again.

A place for things that need your attention

A new bell in the Console collects notifications addressed to you: low or exhausted credits, billing events, support replies and team changes. Each person chooses which of these also arrive by email, and each person sees only the notifications for the areas their access covers.
